Pilgrimage Bus Trip 2023 - May 6

Join us for a Social Justice Pilgrimage as we explore five historic sites in Washington, DC and Baltimore. Sites include The Methodist Building, Mt. Zion UMC (DC), The Mt. Zion/Female Union Band Cemetery, Sharp Street Memorial UMC, and Old Otterbein UMC. An information session on Pilgrimage, bus, full interpretation, access to all sites, and lunch is provided for the cost of $75/person.  Please note that attendees will need to walk from a drop off location to the Methodist Building on Capitol Hill as buses are not permitted. 

Agenda for Saturday, May 6: 

8:30AM: Arrive at Conference Mission Center (11711 E Market Pl, Fulton, MD 20759) for registration and an overview of Pilgrimage

9:00AM Depart (Talk about Pilgrimage as a concept on the bus on the way to stop 1) 

9:45AM Drop off and walk to Methodist Building, arriving about 10am at Methodist Building (United Methodist Building, 100 Maryland Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002) 

10:45AM Depart/walk back to bus

11:15AM Arrive at Mt. Zion (Mt Zion United Methodist Church, 1334 29th St NW, Washington, DC 20007) 

12:00 Noon Lunch (Box Lunch)

12:30PM Depart 

12:35PM Arrive at cemetery (Mount Zion and Female Union Band Society Cemeteries, 2501 Mill Rd NW, Washington, DC 20007) 

1:10PM Depart 

2:10PM Arrive at Sharp Street Memorial (Sharp Street Memorial United Methodist, 1206 Etting St, Baltimore, MD 21217) 

3:00PM Depart 

3:15PM Arrive at Old Otterbein (112 West Conway, Baltimore 21201) 

4:00PM Depart 

4:30PM Arrive at Conference Mission Center (11711 E Market Pl, Fulton, MD 20759)
